Tutor Training

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”

Become a tutor with LVCC and help our adult students achieve their work, family, and community goals.

There will be training for people interested in working with adult students who need help speaking English, reading and writing.*
This English for Students of Other Languages (ESOL) tutor training* will be held on all of the following dates:
April 19, 23, 26, 30 (6-8:30PM)
Mulberry Gardens, Plantsville
(all dates must be attended)

*If you have a background as an educator you may qualify to waive this tutor training.

All prospective tutors must be age 18 and over with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and good writing skills. Observations, support, and training will be provided.
